Live action Dumbo film from Disney (2019)*

Come on, I like The Black Hole!

 

OK, let me clarify. I hate modern Disney because of the way the company is run and because, in my opinion, they do a lot of stupid things. I wasn't ragging on the quality of the movies, even though, except for Pixar films, I haven't seen a single one since The Princess and the Frog.

AGREED...As usual much negativity even before the damn movie is released! at least wait until it's released.

 

Who would have thought Pirates of the Caribbean would turn out to be a pretty good film. At least the first one. But then there is always The Haunted Mansion

 

I'm talking about the constant trashing of movies when announced even before they are filmed...agree?

I'm not saying anything about the film itself. It could be a SMASH, but I still hate that they're doing this and Cinderella, just because I think it shows a huge lack of unoriginalality. The movie could be great, but I still don't like that they did this. Especially in the middle of another Renaissance.

 

I see it as a different take on a classic...nothing will take away from the original, and the live action will be fun! IMO...

 

I enjoyed many of the newer Disney movies...really can't find one to "hate"...

 

Remember the Wild Bunch was a remake of the Seventh Samurai.

Don't hold everything so precious. You just never know. And if the remake is terrible you still have the original

Again, I'm not saying hate the movies, I haven't seen them, I don't know; I'm just saying I hate *some* (I should've originally said that) of the *decisions* the company makes. I'm not trashing this Dumbo flick at all, I'm just not a fan that the idea was even brought up. It just seems like they should've been able to think up a new movie, not resort tp a remake. That's all. I hate the idea, I don't hate the movie. If it lookd good, maybe I'll see it.
Another decision I hate (but understand) is Disney's decision to ditch hand-drawn animation. Doesn't mean I automatically will hate any CGI film they release, but I'll always be mad about it.

Home on the range flopped but it's not the animation's fault. Princess and the frog was hand-drawn from what I remember but that didn't do that well.

Another goddamn useless remake. And people will eat it up as gladly as the previous ones.
