BTW, this was the set list of the 42-minute so-called "Retirement Concert"—June 13, 1971, at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles:
    1. Introduction by Rosalind Russell
    2. "All or Nothing at All"
    3. "I’ve Got You Under My Skin"
    4. "I’ll Never Smile Again"
    5. "Ol’ Man River"
    6. "That’s Life"
    7. "Try a Little Tenderness"
    8. "Fly Me to the Moon"
    9. "Nancy (with the Laughing Face)"
    10. "My Way"
    11. "The Lady Is a Tramp"
    12. "Angel Eyes"
(He came to the last line of the song, “’Scuse me while I disappear”—and he did.)

He uses the Jenkins arrangement of "I'll Never Smile Again "
I think it was the first time he performed it live.

I believe it was also the last time he used the (much better) Riddle chart for "Tramp" outside of parodies.

You can bet it will be released on DVD or some downloadable source during the Centennial.

Not that I know of. The official Sinatra.com site is a poor shadow of its former self. The Sinatra Family News page is usually best for official announcements.

Really excited about this. I thought Scorcese was involved in this? I'm probably misremembering or mixing up two different stories. Anyway, looking forward to this...

Ah okay, thanks. Hope it's still on the table...no mention of it in the huge press release announcing this year's planned upcoming projects.

Probably not in time for this, unfortunately--although I'm waiting to hear back from HBO to know for sure. As other posters have stated, I'm sure it'll be made available in other forms.

According to Nancy on Twitter the other night, it's in suspended animation. I wouldn't hold my breath. Quite frankly, it's probably a blessing.

I had the same reaction. I didn't expect that at all. Super excited now for the documentary. Unfortunately the standalone service wont be ready for the initial airing, per my conversation with HBO.

Yeah, I don't have HBO myself so I'll be conveniently revisiting some long-lost friends (with premium cable). I hope they won't catch on to my ulterior motive the following night when I return for my "misplaced" mittens...in April

Sinatra's life is probably too long for a movie. Most people except us hardcore fans would get lost if they had everything that happened, The Howard Hughes movie had a lot that happened but it ended right when he really started to lose his mind in the early to mid-forties. The Ray Charles movie had his entire life again not as complicated as Sinatra. Maybe they can break it down to a two part movie.
I was excited years ago for the Bobby Darin movie knowing his life struggles etc. But again most people just know him for Mack the Knife and Splish Splash and some probably didn't know he died in 73' at 37 years old so when they kind of did a montage of him struggling on the stage from his already weak heart (due to an infection he got from dental work) in the last scenes I knew what it was but I think they flubbed it up because it didn't make sense to most folks.
