I can't believe the first song I thought of still hasn't been mentioned.

"It's Raining" by Irma Thomas. My favorite rain song.

BTW: She is who the Rolling Stones stole "Time Is On My Side" from.

Yes, it's on his 1995 2 CD set, Link Wray-Guitar Preacher: The Polydor Years. It also has Fire and Brimstone, which I believe the Nevilles covered too. This set has 37 songs by Link during his hippie-esque/country-rock period of the early-to-mid '70s. His Duane Allman tribute "I Got To Ramble" is on here as well as his more studio polished '74 version of Rumble.

    Hello to all.

If you want a LOT of rain, do check Walter/Wendy Carlos Sonic Seasonings' 'Spring'.

There's also rain in 'It's raining on prom night', a delightful ditty from Grease's soundtrack. Always makes me smile.

Another one: Lindsay Buckingham's 'Play in the rain' and 'Play in the rain (continued)'. One of those pieces that end the A side and start the B. How many do you guys know?

    Best regards.

Climbing out on a ledge, uncertain footing,

Nahh , this response isn't that bad (I hope).

The Cowsills - The Rain, The Park, and Other Things. Actually a great piece of late 60's pop. Surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet. (now I can't get the flippin melody out of my head.....)

I noticed I listed a couple that were already mentioned too. Maybe the mods (the Gorts) could work out something on these kind of threads that would send us a slight 'electrical shock' when we don't read the previous posts well enough.
