For me, one of the joys collecting records is finding a desirable (not necessarily valuable) record that I have never seen before … yesterday I ran across several LPs that fit that category … one of which was Connie Stevens' The Hank Williams Song Book Warner Bros. 1460 (M) from 1962 … I see her Hawaiian Eye LP (probably her biggest seller) on a fairly frequent basis …

The acquisition of this LP prompted me to wonder how many different artists recorded LPs or CDs containing songs only written by Hank Williams (who wrote some classics)? …

One that quickly comes to mind (cuz I found a copy recently) is Jack Scott’s I Remember Hank Williams on Top Rank from 1960 …

    Others? …

Del Shannon did a great Hank Williams tribute album, the same with Glen Campbell

Ol' Waylon Sings Ol' Hank is one, obviously, by Waylon Jennings. It was released in 1985 or so and was sold only at his shows and through his fan club until last year, when it was made available to the general public.

George Jones Salutes Hank Williams on Mercury from 1960 ...

Charlie Rich Sings the Songs of Hank Williams & Others on Harmony from 1974 ... which appears to be a re-issue of Charlie Rich Sings Country and Western on Harmony from 1967 ... Harmony was a budget label that re-issued LPs so there may be an earlier version of this LP on another label ...

seems most of the songs are by Hank, but looking at the songlist I noticed it was mastered by Steve Hoffman........

One that hasn't been mentioned yet that is a bit unusual is the instrumental pairing of Roy Clark with the late Joe Pass on Roy Clark & Joe Pass Play Hank Williams.
