What a FANTASTIC band...and I just noticed that there's no thread about Lucius.
    So here we go...enjoy >>>

I liked their album Wildewoman ok. I posted one of their videos as being a 2013 favorite a while back but no one seemed to care. Didn't get a mention, quote or like.

I saw them at Solid Sound last June and they were cool . . . I really like their debut record.

I prefer live versions of their songs though...their debut record sounds overproduced in my opinion.

Yeah, NPR had it listed on their "Best of 2013" list and I checked it out. Ended up loving it.

I went to see them in Hamburg last weekend...amazing show!
The best moment was when they played "Two Of Us On The Run" in the audience.

They also played a beautiful cover version of "Goodbye"(Paul McCartney).

Saw this band last night in Highbury and Islington town hall, their biggest gig in the UK to date, wonderful pop, lovely harmonies. They did a beautiful cover of The Kinks 'Strangers'. Listening to their Wildewoman now, definitely a contender for pop album of the year for me.

I finally heard Lucius from a movie. (I already forgot the movie?) Picked up the CD Wildwoman from the library. I like it.

I didn't know if it was a joke or what - I had never even heard of them!

They're definitely different. Very quirky. I read where someone compared them to Abba. I was more reminded of the B-52s based on the one song. And the hair style.

Their live stuff sounds better than their studio recordings, which are noisy, echo laden and compressed as heck. So, I love their music, hate their CDs. (this is a common problem for me these days).

I just became aware of this group thanks to the Showtime show "Roadies". Really like what I hear so far!

possibly the most in-demand singers right now ie: Jackson Browne, David Byrne, and on tour in the new Roger Waters group
