MadTV is returning on The CW

One of the best sketches I've ever seen

 

I love their Pizza Hut commercial parody. It's still as relevant as it was when this parody was new.

 

I remember that Elton John "Funeral Classics" bit, and I thought it was really funny. Not sure how I saw it since I never watched the show and that was back in the day before youtube and online video clips being everywhere.

Yeah, you're right, that definitely is. I hadn't seen that before either. That was pretty good.

 

It would be great if it was Night Flight as we remember it, where just about anything would appear (such as running The Beatles' Magical Mystery Tour twice a night for a month, The Church Of The Sub-Genius, and the full performance of Laurie Anderson's Oh Superman).

 

I thought it was a riot back in the late 90s/early 2000s, but most of it hasn't aged very well for me. Might have something to do with the fact that I was 10.

 

I laughed out loud at this. I forgot about this one.

I remember the beginning of the first episode of MadTV. They literally grabbed people off the street, tossed them in dumpster, and carried them to the studio.

 

Artie Lange had limited talent and is not always funny, but he totally nails that part -- that's funny as hell. For a performer to totally jump into that and commit 100%... that takes some skill.

 

My wife liked it, but every time I tried to watch it they had some adult baby thing on which maybe somebody thought was funny, but they were wrong.
