Magical Mystery Tour Double EP - Quality of Mastering / Best Playback Options?

I recently bought a Dutch pressing of the original stereo Magical Mystery Tour Double EP, which I found charmingly labelled 'Beide Singles' ('Both Singles') for a princely 7 Euros.

I quite like the fact that the tracks are in a completely different order (MMT-Your Mother Should Know/Walrus, Fool on the Hill-Flying/Blue Jay Way), given that the 'Album' is now the accepted part of the legacy.

I was wondering how the 45 rpm mix compares to the album mix technically?

And here's the Audio-phile bit I also need advice/chastising about *takes cover*: I know I'm 'wrong' in playing this via a Crosley player connected to a Hughes Kettner 60W guitar amplifier (sometimes with Sony MDR-XD100 headphones plugged in)- but what should I play it through instead?? (for under 300 GBP)? It actually sounds pretty good to me!
