The link says "remaster." Is that a mistake by some copy writer who doesn't know the difference, or did Wilson only prepare a 5.1 mix? (And why doesn't Wilson's Facebook page mention this?)

YAY!!! AWESOME! Automatic purchase for me! Although I don't think this album needed a remix, as the Chris Kimsey production sounds amazing already... But all the extras look scrumptious!

Wow. Must purchase for me. The music is so layered it should sound incredible in 5.1

Awesome! If it's a stereo remix, not just remaster, I'll be picking it up. I'm not set up for 5.1 at the moment.

Fish kind of mention this release in a recent Facebook post. Looking forward to confirmation and hope SW remixes more Marillion albums.

Curious about this one but I bet it won't touch the Original German Vinyl. (1C 064-24 0340)

I saw a link for vinyl of the 2017 remaster on that page if you scroll down a little.

I quit my Facebook a few months ago now however, I heard that Lucy mentioned something about news about the early albums under the Warner banner being revealed on the 26th. Apparently they've confirmed it now. And I'm stumped on the remaster thing too. I guess Kimsey's production is good enough that didn't really warrant a remix however it looks like Wilson only remixed the B-Side 'Lady Nina.'

Maybe the production of the original album never needed remixing in the first place, much like how Wilson's remix of Crimson's Red not being released with his 5.1 mix originally. Didn't he say that he couldn't find fault with the original mix yet his attempt at a stereo remix ultimately got released later on the Road to Red boxset?

Me too! And I hope the Hogarth albums up to Afraid of Sunlight will receive the same treatment too. :)

Glad Steven Wilson only remixed the album in 5.1.
I never cared for his stereo remixes of all the reissues he worked on. (But I always loved his 5.1 approach).

Would prefer the equivalent package for Script for a Jester's Tear or Fugazi, but I'll buy this too.

If I were picking a Fish-era studio album for Steven Wilson to remix, Misplaced Childhood is the one that I'd choose dead last: it has a very coherent sound that doesn't seem likely to benefit from 'opening up', unlike the others. That said, SW + classic Marillion ... what's not to like?

I'm somewhat excited by this news, on the other hand I'm also unsure if a 5.1 mix will benefit the material much. There are not that many overdubs on this record, and no backing vocals at all.
That said, I consider MC to be THE most important album of my youth, so I'll probably go for this package!
