Hello to all!!! I am a newbie to this forum and this is my first thread.
I'm going to purchase CLSIIZ speakers. Currently using Conrad Johnson
MF-200 Solid State 200wpc Amp Krell KSL Preamp
Straight Wire Rhapsody II speaker cables Cardas Neutral Reference
Inter Connects Sony SACD/DVD(DVP NV500P) and Panasonic A7
DVD audio player. The CLSIIZ's are on the Arcici stands. I heard the Original ClS in 1985 and now in 2003 my speaker journey will end(hopefully). I am aware of the caveats, minimal impedance
of 1.5ohms at 20k hz, placement, and room acoustics(my sound room is 14'x17'). My current Speakers are ancient Phase linear Andromeda III(including sub bass module with 2 12" woofers -2db @18hz)
Vienna acoustics Haydn and ADS L300 Mini monitors(used separately in 2 channel stereo). I enjoy almost all music types. My wife does'nt believe that this will be my last speaker purchase, I do. What do you think?
Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance to any and all who reply!!!
    I:love: the Sh Forum!!!!!
    Keep the music on 24 7 365,

Being a "planar" fan I think you are making a great purchase. It is possible, however, that your last speaker purchase may be a couple of subwoofers.

Yep, a subwoofer would be a nice touch. I used to have CLS's and if you can get a sub to integrate with it, the combo is unstoppable.

I have the CLS IIz with the Vandersteen sub. It is terrific. I doubt that they will be my last speakers depending on my financial future. The Sound Lab A1s and U1s are very interesting along with the Martin Logan Statements.

Has anyone had any luck integrating subwoofers with MartinLogan speakers? I'm thinking about building an IB-sub for them, since I think that's the only way I can integrate both systems...

This may be your last speaker purchase, but I'm sure you will end up with some powerful tube amp sooner or later. Martin Logan CLS's plus some solid state biggies is a well-known recipe for listening fatigue.

I didn't get this right: FOR listening fatigue or AGAINST listening fatige?

Hmmm, not so sure I agree here Arne. Listening fatigue happens mainly from a bad mastering job as opposed to equipment IMHO.
