Just spent the weekend watching all the episodes. I quite enjoyed it, and think a lot of the criticism is undeserved..

Watching the last episode this evening. I've enjoyed it but was he always such a *****? :)

  4. Yeah, I found it no better or worse than Luke Cage (which I enjoyed). There were a few ropey special effect scenes and a few bits of corny dialog but that's par for the course in comic book based material IMO.

    Spoiler Alert (sort of)

In the show Danny only has one "Iron Fist". In the WWII era (I think) footage the Iron Fist appeared to have two. It was never commented or talked about by any of the characters. Is this something that is addressed in the comics, or something that will be brought up in a future season.? Haven't seen anyone else bring this up yet, maybe it's just nothing, but it made me curious.

  7. I held off because of the wonky reviews but after 4 episodes, I'm actually enjoying it....

  8. Again I'm enjoying the series however ever scene with the rich brother and sister seems like porn film acting.

I found the show ok. I liked DD and JJ, and thought Luke Cage was good, not great. I think what made this weird for me was that Finn Jones has only two emotions; odd bewilderment or cheesy anger.

I just can't help but notice that Tom Pelphrey seems to be doing a Humphrey Bogart impression when he plays Ward.

Finished it. 7 out of 10.

Just needs some work on the scripts. Danny is a complete tool.

Could maybe have been edited down to 11 or 12 episodes.

My wife and I are up to Episode 8 and liking it so far. I think I like it a bit more than Jessica Jones, which I thought was okay. Luke Cage is better than this, and my favorite is Daredevil.

Yeah I wondered at that. You are not alone. But Danny is a bit...'slow' shall we say.

My wife is a total Marvel geek, but after completing the season she lamented the 13 hours she'll never get back. She hated it.

    Finished it over the weekend.

It was good. DD Season 1 is still my favorite.

I thought Ward and Colleen stole the show.

  16. Curious if she ever read any of the 1970's comics? IMO they're just so-so so in a way I cut the series some slack as the character/villians that they have to work from in the source material just aren't of the same caliber as, say, Daredevil.

It was a poor show and it felt really cheap compared to the other Marvel series.
It had the feel of a 42min/24 episode per season series

She hasn't read the comics. She just felt the character was a caricature and she couldn't take him seriously.

She said she may follow up with the comics, though.

Couldn't get through Luke Cage so I think I'll pass on this one, too. Put me down as disliking season 2 of Daredevil as well. I did like season 1 and Jessica Jones a lot.

I really felt David Tenant saved Jessica Jones.

    He was brilliant in it.

  24. Interesting. I loved the first Daredevil best too but I absolutely loved Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. They had the best scripts, acting, directing and art direction IMHO.

Iron Fist was the weakest. He really didn't know WTF to do with the fist. Seems like he never used it when he really should have.

Season two of Daredevil would have scored lower if not for The Punisher being in it.

And as for Danny rand....just WTF was he learning in that place for 15 years? Not a lot it seems. He seemed to veer from Master Ninja to Beverly Hills Ninja!
