... from Music Direct, anyone got their's yet?
I'm excited to hear this thing!!!

 

site still says it is not yet released.... Both Music Direct and Mofi site...

 

All I know is I got a UPS tracking number and my account tells me, via my order number, it's on it's way...it's coming UPS ground and is supposed to be to me by the 15th. Since they are in Chicago and I'm in California, I thought someone closer to Chicago may have received their's already.
I'll let you know when it shows.

I asked yesterday about the Foghat......they said it was not yet in stock....

 

Any word on the What's Goin On vinyl?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news. I have been in contact with MusicDirect today and they have informed me that the What's Going On SACD has been pulled from the schedule. The reason cited is a problem with the artwork. They were just informed of this today. They have no idea when it is going to be released. I imagine the Let's Get It On SACD is in limbo as well.

 

As long as the license is valid and it's still on.

Bummer, but delayed is better than dead.

 

Well my copy of the What's Going On SACD shipped last week, and is due to hit my doorstep in the next day or so. So do I have a collectors item? Something more collectible than a normal MFSL disc? I would think so.

 

tis true... Anything sent out prior to today is already on the way, however...

 

The backup at RTI has them delayed.

 

hopefully they are fixing whatever is causing their records to be warped.

 

So what specifically, may I ask, is wrong with the artwork that needed to have the discs pulled?

 

I am a bit curious myself. You can see pics of the artwork on the link I provided earlier.

 

Since you have a copy of the disc, do you see anything out of the ordinary regarding the artwork on either the gatefold or the disc itself? What about the "mix" and music on the disc - is everything ok there?

I guess since your a "curious" yourself, the answer would be that you don't see anything out of the ordinary regarding the packaging.

 

I will pull it and take another closer look.

But it also could be something that I may not even know to look for.....all the legalities involved in reproducing music these days....crazy.
