None on CD. This is owned by a south American company called SEI corp. Thay have issued a download in two versions, one as originally released the other a version which they describe as a remix but sounds just like a more heavily compressed remaster. Not come across it in lossless, but on the other hand I haven't looked very much! One track was accidentally issued on "Ultimate" which caused problems for EMI when they found out they didn't own it! Also some tracks have appeared on a compilation somewhere although two of those were turned into virtual duets with a singer called Carlos Greco (i think that was his name)

Thats the only one apart from download.

Carlos Greco's album "Con Amor" features 5 duets with Matt (using the tracks from Un Toque De Distincion)

Yes, but only two have appeared on a compilation CD, the rest I believe are download only. A pointless project. After all, why replace Matt!

Actually i've just double checked that compilation and there are more Matt tracks than I thought!

Various - Super Estrellas Del Amor

I downloaded Camina al Amor from iTunes then discovered that there was one track missing so I downloaded 'Los Tiempos de Felicidad' from En Español - Original Recordings. I am not sure which CD is the one you described as a 'more heavily compressed remaster', but judging by the title of the latter, one is led to believe that it was Camina al Amor. However, it might just mean the tracks are without added Carlos Greco!

Is the new paper sleeve Japan WALK AWAY CD a bootleg? Some label called Oldays. Does it at least sound good?

I don't understand why This Is The Life/Here's To My Lady seems to still be in print, yet These Years/Late Late Show hasn't been in print for a long time.

Just wondering how many copies of Alternate Monro were made. Can't find one copy for sale anywhere. Bizarre!

I can't say in regards to the Japanese release. First I've heard of it. Might be licenced from Warner Japan i suppose.

This is the life/These Years ISN'T available anymore officially. What you are seeing is old stock.

I have no idea about numbers pressed of Alternate, they won't dhare that sort of info - they didn't even tell the estate that they'd been deleted. That was always the deal so they could buy surplus copies but thats the way ot is now. Both Rarities and Alternate appear to have been casualties when Warner reduced the size of available physical catalogue not long after taking control.

Rarities and Alternate are still available as downloads.

I have a query about Maria (Through the Years version). I am sure it must have come up before but I don't know what makes it unique. I downloaded it from The EMI Years/The Capitol Years/Through The Years. I have a recording date of 22nd February
1968 though that date does not figure in the Sessionography so it may be wrong!

Maria through the years is a different mix (though not that different as it only had 4 tracks stereo orch, rhythm & vocal on the multi) it also had an edit to a diffetent take part way through. The date of the mix is 22nd feb not the recording date. The original mix made for the album just after recording was replaced later by one created in March but an earlier attempt on 22nd Feb was also made. Edit occurs at about 3.15

Very comprehensive - thanks. I also note that the info certainly is in the Sessionography which is where I must have got that date in the first place!

Just checking... Is the version of 'Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head' on Matt Monro The Collection the same as the one on Matt at The Movies?

Well I have worked through the Studio Sessionography and I am missing the following:

1964 - The Song For Europe Edits - but I am not too bothered about those if there was no remixing involved.

    1970 - Why Can't I Touch You?

    1973

    Ready Steady Go
    Friend, Lover, Woman, Wife
    Sunday Kind of Woman

    1978

    Morning Has Broken
I Think I'm Getting Over You

    1981

Tal Vez Tal Vez (My friend, my friend)

So I haven't done too bad really out of about 460 tracks. Any help gratefully received!

This thread has inspired me to buy "The Singer's Singer" CD set so it's had a positive effect on sales-keep it up and you never know, if more people buy the official releases maybe the label would be more inclined to release the other releases Richard wanted to do !!

There is only one recording (In English!) so yes it's the same. It was an out-take from the "We're Gonna Change The World" sessions, mixed but not issued until The Collection.

  16. You certainly won't be disappointed with it - and once you're discovering that material, there are plenty more gems to purchase.

    Welcome on board.

    Best Wishes,
    David

I think that's about right for what's not available on CD/download. Two of the edits for Song For Europe EP (Choose and Ten out of Ten) are in edited form on the CD - This Is Matt Monro, but it's not really worth it as the full versions are better!

I hadn't even realised that "Tal Vez Tal Vez" was not available on CD. Didn't spot that when I looked through the sessionography.
