This was the first time I'd received resealed CDs from them and one CD was just open, no shrink. They were close enough to NM condition so it didn't really bother me, plus I can't imagine classical CD sales are that great these days so I'm not going to mention it to them. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

It just happened with that one order. Received another order today and everything was factory sealed.

European CD's are not shrink wrapped. If you receive them shrink wrapped they have been wrapped by the dealer, probably because they are being shipped to the US and we expect them that way.

Are CDs sold without shrink wrap in the UK?

These were mostly Naxos CDs, they have always been shrink wrapped with the tear away tab and folded over plastic on the spine sides when I have bought them, the same as US factory sealed CDs. The resealed CDs were using a reshrinking machine.

Maybe they had run out of for export discs for these handful of albums and sent me discs for the EU market.
