Easy buy.....all the songs they added for 2017 that didn’t have video release already are on the video portion and you get full video of fracture! That song alone makes it an intriguing purchase!

Gonna have to fetch a blu Ray player for this one, I guess after radical action was a dvd / blu Ray affair, they have decided to just go blu Ray with no dvd option this time.....and I don’t own a blu Ray player right now.

Cool on them too for adding in the songs they added for the fall 2017 tour - will be nice to get official versions of moonchild, breathless, discipline.

Looks good - enough differences from other releases to make it worthwhile on its own merits, but I wasn’t expecting video. That makes it a must-buy! And the bonuses will be good too.

And, as @kenticus notes: video of ‘Fracture’ might just be worth the purchase price alone...

When did they do "Fracture" on the North American tour last year?

Curious to hear Bill Rieflin's mix. Hopefully, it will be as dynamic as the first CD of the Royal Package Audio Diary (similar to Orpheum). Great sound quality compared to the more recent releases.

I was very happy at first but then I saw the tracklisting: the Bluray contains only a small selection of tracks (compared with the cds).
So what's the point of bragging "five nights’ of concerts in Mexico City. All of the concerts were recorded and filmed with a view to issuing a definitive document" if in the last moment there's only a portion of what was filmed it that gets released ?

I believe they may have done it in their 2nd Red Bank, New Jersey show.

    Just checked - they did.

Didn't want to "go negative" in a new announcement discussion, but same thought occured to me. Maximize the Blu Ray benefit. Otherwise, they have been attentive toward the audiophile segment of their audience.

Complete guess: the blu-ray has one complete concert whereas the CDs give one version of every song played? Regardless (and speaking personally) that Blu-ray tracklist looks generous enough to me and 5.1 DTS-MA makes it a no-brainer purchase.

    Except for "Exiles", apparently

Re: fewer tracks on the Blu-ray, I believe they use very small video cameras on stage, and had a hard time getting usuable footage (w/no camera shake) for all the songs in Radical Action to Unseat the Hold of Monkey Mind, which was filmed in front of the usually quiet & reserved Japanese audience. Just guessing here but maybe some highly demonstrative crowds in Mexico made for less ideal camera conditions and less video was considered usable?

Blu Ray still has 20+ songs on it.....hardly a “selection”, but rather an approximation of a full show. It is definitely culled from multiple nights - fracture was only performed once in Mexico and the set list and order for that night does not match the blu Ray tracklist. So imagine that’s the case!

Also, a lot of this material already had video release on radical action, and what you get here is almost all the newly added 2016/2017 songs (minus errors and exiles) are getting their first video release, in addition to new video footage of a bunch of other songs they’ve been killing the last few years. It’s a lot of work to compile a blu Ray, and prolly they figured if they could compile an audio document of 30+ songs and a video document that is roughly the length of a normal KC show, they’ve got a pretty good set.....I for one auto bought this one!

Those are all board mixes, are they not? I couldn't see a credit for mix engineer anywhere.
