Probably my favorite EP of all time. Hard to find an original LP and garage inc has inferior mastering than the original CD which sounds amazing !

Wow! Chris Bellman too. I pre-ordered the orange vinyl just because it’s limited and I don’t like picture discs.

Hm, so now looks like that they won't put Garage Days Re-Revisited EP into the Justice-boxset.
Anyways have to wait see how this goes, I got the original LP which sounds great, so if this is really upgrade I might get the new one.
For some reason, unfornately, I never got to buy the original CD when it was released, so the new CD is interesting as we only have that inferior mastering on Garage Inc.

  7. This is great news! Wore out my cassette, someone stole my original CD, and I don’t have a turntable at the moment to play the vinyl, so this is most welcome news.

I still have my original cassette. Might jump on the orange vinyl which looks cool.

They’re not staying true to their word. They’re charging more than $5.98 ;)

Great EP, but why re-master it when the original mastering is perfect?

I agree. Both the original CD (bought one for $2 at a local Value Village of all places) and LP pressings sound excellent, so I'm not too sure what needed to be remastered. Having said that, at least one wouldn't have to buy Garage Inc. just to get these songs.

CD Longbox ordered. Download "The Wait" MP3 that is included with the order receipt. It has a DR of 9.

Even though I have the original vinyl and CD I'll buy the remastered CD since I bought all the others (and they are so cheap).

Always loved this E.P. Best sounding Metallica record. They should have recorded them all like this ("not-very-produced").

I'm fine with that. Justice will probably be huge even without this... You know, longer album and longer shows at that time.

Yeah, I love the production on this - Jason's bass sounds great! Same goes for the first Garage Days (not the Jason thing obviously).

Pre-ordered the colored vinyl and CD. Was disappointed the long box was sold out already.

Yes, better to have only Justice-era in it's own box and not let any other session or release take space from it.
It must be huge box, now that the Master Of Puppets-boxset was huge, Justice will be even more so.
Im so looking forward to hearing what all they are going to include with it.

Well shhhhhiiiiyyyyaaaattttt... this is unexpected but very welcome news, for sure!!!

Black vinyl for me... I've been critical of 'Tallica at times on this forum (and rightly so), but give 'em credit when they do it right... and this is most certainly that.

Is this a Met Store exclusive or are we anticipating this to be available via all the major online resellers? I am in for the vinyl and the cassette. The latter....simply for the "cool" factor! :)

Because the originals are long out-of-print; Metallica owns their whole catalog now and all of these remasters are released on their own label on their terms.

Any opinions on the Marino-mastered Side D of the Garage Inc. LP compared to the original Garage Days?
