I'm sure this has been gone over to death, but I couldn't find an answer quickly, and I'm feeling lazy so I'm just gonna go ahead and post.

If I understand correctly, there were three Sgt. Peppers releases by MFSL. The one in the box set, the UHQR version, and the "regular" individual release.

Does anyone know the differences between the three? Specifically, I'm curious if the (in)famous smile eq curve was used on all three?

I'm presuming that they were all separate masterings. Is my presumption correct?

I've never had a chance to listen to the box set version. But between the UHQR and the standard realease I'd give the nod the UHQR. The UHQR was "smoother" for lack a true audiophile glossary. I still prefer my brothers UK original.

John Buchanan I'm just a headphone kind of fellow. Stax Sigma

The box set version didn't have the 15kHz tone and the inner groove gibberish.
