I don't want to sound stoooopid but does any body out there have any idea about a fair value for some of the older MFSL titles? I have a sealed Katy Lied, Slowhand, Dark Side, Waiting for Columbus a few others(glad my mother never threw any thing out).

Look at eBay (www.ebay.com) and search using "MFSL FLOYD DARK SIDE" or whatever. Always use MFSL in the search. Other possibilities are MOBILE FIDELITY and MOFI. (you don't have to use caps - I did just so it would stand out) That'll give you a good idea what you may be able to get for them.

If they are sealed, they go for more $. Some members call it the eBay bendover!

You sure you want to sell them?

    Have fun!

    Andy,

I woulnd't sell them, but that's just me...

If this helps any, you might want to hang onto them a bit longer as the economy here in the US is at a low point, and buyers aren't in the spending mood. However, the quantity of MFSL product on eBay has also dwindled since I was looking last year, so you might find a hefty price.

The Katy Lied and Slowhand in sealed condition is a bit rarer than the Columbus or DSOTM. Do what you want, but I'd wait, think if you want to let them go, but anytime later is a better idea. The economy might turn around, and going prices will go up.

Andy I definately agree with Gary and Sckott as they'll only go up in value. ;)

I disagree with Sckott and Gary...I think you should sell "Katy" to me!

I saw someone offering Pink Floyd's "The Wall" for $350! Another site had "DSOTM" for around $175 (Japanese version?). I don't know if these reflect the true market value though. Glad I bought mine when they first came out.

I sold a DSOTM UD2 for $37 as my feel-good AFA contribution. I also recently sold a "Meddle" UD2 for around $40, IIRC.

I sold a MFSL "Tommy" (can't remember) and "Quad" (around $60) this summer. Earlier in the year, I sold a sealed MFSL "Surfing with the Alien" for $80, and a DCC "Night Moves" ($40?). The market for those two titles seems to have dipped considerably since then.

I haven't regretted any sales so far. You can't take it with you, and you might as well sell off your extras and reinvest that money in something that interests you more. At least that's what I do. Plus I figure digital is just going to keep getting better.

That said, Scott's point about the economy is very well taken. I have lots of things I wanna sell, but I am leery to list them cause it's been a buyer's market for a while now.
