Todd Terje is the man. There are gigabytes of his re-edits out there. If you want your mind blown, seek out his remix of Stevie Wonder's "Superstition". (He also did a nice re-edit of "All I Do")

He really is! Besides this Michael Jackson mix, I'm mostly listening to his contribution to the Terje produced Bryan Ferry track, "Johnny and Mary".

On the subject of Todd Terje, we have a late night show on the musical NPR station here that focuses on electronic music and I heard this one really cool song on it that was neo-disco and I thought was something new/recent... only to discover it was Todd Terje remixing a 70s song by The Osmonds. That was when I took note of him, that he turned the epitome of everything cheesy and lilywhite and made it actually sound cool

    From that article:

"The new Off The Wall combines a CD of the album with a Blu-ray/DVD featuring a new Spike Lee documentary. It repeats the errors of Thriller 25 by containing less audio than previous editions – not hard, since there is actually no bonus audio at all on this new edition – but at least there is a purity and simplicity to the offering and thankfully we have no modern remixes to contend with."

A wasted opportunity with no hi-rez on the Blu-Ray disc. I'll probably get the DVD.

The lack of a hi-rez option on this release is particularly stupid.

Well, the hi-rez version is available from HD Tracks and Pono, but, if you aren't into downloads, or in a country where that isn't available, I guess so.

HD Tracks are quite expensive here. Plus, I don't really understand downloads or where to put them. So that doesn't help.:D

My opinion: a monumental waste of money on packaging that could have been put into the mastering from better sources, or given us the original mixes. A piece of chalk so you can scribble something? It's almost as worthless as the blinking light on one of Pink Floyd's CDs.

HD Tracks provide a tutorial on what to do. The typical hi-rez album costs around $24 USD.

They're around £25 here. Not sure what that is in dollars, but it's more.

I love the full Todd Terje album (It's Album Time!) which does contain that Bryan Ferry track, a remake of the great Robert Palmer single. But the whole record is fantastic, and largely instrumental.

I haven't delved into his remixes but I need to seek them out now.

    It shouldn't be much more.

It works out at over 35 dollars. I could buy a SACD for that. From Japan!

I want to see the documentary, but I don't want to be Off The Wall yet again. Is there a standalone option for blu ray or dvd?

Good idea - I don't have Netflix currently but I should look around. Thanks!

Anywhere I can buy the Bad25 blu ray?

Not Wembley 88, the 2 hour Spike Lee documentary.

Seems silly not to used OFW momentum to sell more copies of the Bad25 documentary. Or actually offer it to retail.

That's because this CD was made from an iTunes master.

The hi-rez version of "Off The Wall" has been available for at least a year.

How is the mastering on this? Have never bought this album and am considering taking the plunge with the blu-ray doc.

And if I understand correctly, they restored the original mixes, right?

it's mastered for iTunes, and no it is not the original mixes of Rock With You or Get On The Floor.
