I enjoyed the Franklin Theater show. Nesmith provided a nice career retrospective and was in fine voice throughout. Personally, I thought the three songs from "The Prison" were an odd choice for a show closer, but the crowd obviously disagreed with me. It was good to finally see him after a 40+ year wait.

Wish he would have added a little more diversity regarding the set list. Still very excited to see Nez in April though. :)

Scruggs played a great steel solo on another tune, but IMHO he was under-utilized here. The arrangements (and the mix) were keyboard heavy, but Mike seemed to be into it. I also though the choice to use an electronic drum kit was a bit odd.

First time seeing Nez live in Nashville. Sound was terrific. Really enjoyed first two thirds of the show with the focus on his more country-oriented songs. However, he downplayed the country aspect in their present arrangements...still great songs by a great songwriter.

Nez is a strange bird, his voice sounds excellent, but what's with the synthesizer and the drum kit that Dolenz played in 1986?! Selections from the Prison and Laugh Kills Lonesome seem an anti-climatic way to end the show with gems like Sweet Young Thing et all not played, hell, I'd settle for Winonah from Ranch Stash!

Great show in Santa Cruz, I like how he gives a cinematic rendering before each song, sets a mood and explains the context very well. The meet n greet after was also nice, he was accomodating and gracious, just a nice man. Glad I went.

Any changes to the setlist of the LA and Santa Cruz shows?

Great show in Santa Cruz last night...his cinematic song intros are very effective at setting the mood and explaining lyrical intent. Very gracious and a nice man to talk with.

The exact same song set, and I suspect it will be throughout the tour.

From memory I'm pretty sure it's the exact same set that he played over here in the UK. It's great to have him back touring (and enjoying it) and with luck we'll get to hear some of the missing stuff in future.

Is it worth it bringing an album for him to sign if I missed out on the meet and greet tickets?
    Looking forward to this show!
    Thanks.

Probably not. They were pretty strict in clearing out the theater before he came out.

Could you describe the meet and greet a bit, as I will be doing that at the Pittsburgh show and would like to be prepared?

Thanks. I think I'll bring it anyhow and play dumb.
At least I'll know to be disappointed, in all likelihood!
