VH-1 Classic been running an amazingly good video(promo film) for its time of "The Mighty Quinn" from Manfred Mann. The quality is astoundingly poor though, washed out color and scratchy sound. At the end of the video, in teh credits section, it lists the Sam Lit Archive as its origin. Does anybody know what the Sam Lit Archive is, who controls it, and what do they have? Are there more great/obscure promo films from the sixties that they have or is this all?

The credit should read the HY LIT archive.Hy Lit is a dj in Philadelphia(I think he's still on the air).In the 60's he had a local TV show & fortunatly, much survives,VH-1 started running random clips from the show in '89.There's several cool ones-including the Flying Burrito Brothers doing "Christine's Tune(Devil In Disguise)".There's a 2 hour reel circulating amongst video collectors.Low gen, but the *#%!! that leaked it put an ID in the middle of the screen. The Manfred Mann clip is just a promo he happened to show & that's how it got lumped into the archive.
