Found this tidbit on the "Miles Ahead" site: While there already is a discussion on the upcoming "Bootleg Series" in its respective thread, I haven't found anything on the second release yet. I think it's more than mere speculation, as the sources the site uses has proven to be correct on all accounts in the past. If it indeed is true, we will soon see an 8-LP set from Legacy (seems like vinyl only) featuring mono mixes. I wonder which mono tapes have survived and which titles will need a remix? "Round About Midnight" is mono-only anyway, "Miles Ahead" and "Milestones" were also mono-only initially (they also appeared in mono on CD before, and on MFSL vinyl recently in the case of "Milestones"). "Jazz Track" should also have all mono tapes available, but this is a special LP, as I think it was never re-released in this form by Columbia again, since half of it is the soundtrack to "Ascensceur pour l'echafaud/Lift to the Scaffold", which has since appeared on a Fontana CD. I guess Legacy will manage to license these tracks again for this release. The other half, the studio sextet dates, have appeared in mono in Japan before on the CD "1958 Miles". I remember reading somewhere that the mono "Kind of Blue" tapes were lost, so this will probably need to be remixed. I don't know 'bout the others. If they manage to maintain the quality as high as on their previous Bob Dylan mono vinyl set, I'm definitely buying this one.
