Wait, so no vinyl box set of this? That's odd. MOV had been doing a good job of these multivinyl Davis bootleg boxes. I think my Newport one is 8LPs.
Well this looks like it will be a really fun listen! Anyone found a track listing yet? I don’t see one anywhere
I remember my joy at receiving the four-disc Trema set of the Paris concerts. I gambled on a confusing UK listing, assumed I'd receive an incomplete or wholly different set, and waited out the overseas shipping. Lo and behold, I got the right thing, the whole thing, and it surpassed my expectations for sound quality. And now all you Johnny Come Lately's have to do is pre-order a domestic release -- doesn't seem fair! I'd regret not having the Sonny Stitt concerts, but this release is sure to please Miles fans who didn't trawl eBay seeking out European releases. Of all my 1960 tour discs, these would be the three concerts I'd pick as the best.

As someone who wants both — I'm excited! And it's another one down on the way to an inevitable, domestic, Cuscuna/Wilder-helmed issue of Japan '75.
I've been a 1960 tour fan for years now, so it will be nice to finally have something official from Sony/Columbia. The Paris and Stockholm shows are the cream of the crop here, so hopefully there is a sonic upgrade. If you want to round out the tour, these relatively recent releases are great: If you want just one, the Swiss show has better sound. The Amsterdam set also contains an Oct 1960 set with Sonny Stitt.
PSA: as per usual, preorder price on Amazon UK is about half of what it is on the US site. $49.98 vs £20.57 ($27.54 right now) both shipped.
.............and when I ordered it was £20.99, thus getting me free delivery even if the price falls below 20 before release!!
Listening to the Dragon 4 CD release "Live In Stockholm". If this new bootleg release sound is as good as Stockholm, it will be a great release.
I have the Stockholm and Paris material already on official CDs mastered from the radio archive tapes. I have the Copenhagen material as well. The mono sound is very good (especially Stockholm). So I think I'll probably pass on this one. These concerts are a must have especially for Coltrane fans. His solos are long and very advanced stuff for the time.
All this talk on other threads about Miles is making hard to keep this one away from the shopping cart: But how long can we wait for this bootleg series ?! If there will be any ever.
Great quality album both performance and sound wise, but it would have fit on a single CD (just (to help keep costs down........).
Just curious. was the US pressed CD of Miles at The Fillmore: Miles Davis 1970: The Bootleg Series Vol. 3 circulating in the US market? I’ve seen only the EU pressing.
