Can anyone help me track down the Miles Davis Unknown Sessions! Any or all volumes. Or anything else with unreleased studio sessions from the 70's.

    Can be CD, downloads, anything!

    Thanks

    Guy

If they're 'unknown', how can anyone help you?

Do you have Directions, Big Fun, Get Up With It, Circle In The Round & the Jack Johnson/On The Corner Box Sets?

Most of them were released in the 70s to be fair.

You can find quite a few tracks from the unissued 1975 sessions on YouTube. This is one of them.

    Hi guysbrown,
did you really mean "unknown" sessions or are you talking about "unreleased" sessions ? In case you mean the latter, there appeared many new issues of previously unreleased recordings from MD concerts.
As an example only: I personally follow up the Columbia/Legacy "The Bootleg Series" published in irregular periods since 2009. By now I found the following CD boxes:
Vol. 1 Live in Europe 1967
Vol. 2 Live in Europe 1969
Vol. 3 At the Fillmore 1970
    Vol. 4 At Newport 1955 - 1975
    Vol. 5 Freedom Jazz Dance 1966 - 76
Vol. 6 Miles Davis & John Coltrane - The Final Tour 1960
For other similar issues you may check with wellknown publishers like JazzDoor or Slawka Records etc.

    Hey Guy,

I just found this thread looking for the exact same thing. Here's the album: Unknown Sessions Vol. 5

It was released on the So What label (Japan) sometime in the 1980s. I can't find it for the life of me. Any luck? Any info, anyone?

Can't help with the CD, but as mentioned above you might be able to find the audio on YouTube.
