The press release almost sounds like something out of the Onion:

    Produced by multi-talented Adam Hamilton
    (David Hasselhoff/William Shatner)...

Glad she's still active and I might give this a listen, but man, I have been completely underwhelmed since Spring Session M. I'm beginning to feel Terry Bozzio (and Ken Scott) are a lot more important to this band than the actual singer.

The most horrible redo of a song ever. I could do better and I have no musical talent of any kind.

Spring Session M captured lightening in a bottle. It was the sound. It was Dale’s vocals, her looks and the way she dressed.

When u r left with Dale’s distinctive and odd vocals singing some old warhorses and all the rest was washed away close to 40 years ago... it is simply dreadful.

Why does it say "featuring Dale Bozzio"? Why does this even need to be said? She's an original and actual (and integral, basically) member of the band. It would be like having a Rolling Stones record saying "featuring Mick Jagger." Is that really necessary? Should we be surprised or something?

I would assume they mention her because plenty of bands that were previously well known still work but without their well known lead singer.

10,000 Maniacs, the Guess Who, etc.

I guess "featuring Dale Bozzio" is a way of saying: "no Terry Bozzio, Patrick O'Hearn, etc"

Sounds way more dated then than the 60s version. Randomly repeating lyrics at the end of the song doesn't work at all.

Based on that track, this is going to end up being one of those novelty records like Mrs. Miller singing Yellow Submarine. Someone needs to tell Dale it's not 1985 anymore.

It's just a karaoke album by Adam Hamilton, with Dale reading the lyrics. (Adam Hamilton is credited with engineering, keyboards, programming, bass - one person doing all the music, getting that completely soulless vibe that is only possible when no one works with you.) Ten years earlier, Hamilton had produced the Cleocraptra "soundalike" versions of "Destination Unknown" "Walking in LA" and "Words". So doing same damage to songs by other artists wasn't too much of a stretch.
