As far as the Beatles/Zep/Floyd, I wasn't pleased from the get go with the latest releases. Of course, the older pressings that sounded good still sound good. It becomes an apples and oranges thing.
And all valid points, there is a point that, when crossed, one has gone too far. Again, not saying that Abraxas crossed that, just sharing a concern I had when A/B ing. That may go away after more scrutiny. But thank you for the 'it is real' comments.
I was not pointing at you with those comments....just stating the existence of the forum 'new is better' flag wavers. But then, we all like what we like. So, all is good.
That's what I figured but I placed an order weeks ago just in case. A word of caution to those who placed an order with them. Since they charge your card at the time of the order, be sure to check your credit card info to be sure they credit that amount back to you if you don't get the album. Sometimes these sellers "forget" to do it. I had to nudge Import CDs about that on a CD that was first backordered, then unavailable. The credit never showed up until I called them about it.
That's even more reason to not order from them. They get to hold on to your money for close to a year, not a bad deal for a bogus listing.
I use importcds for stuff they have in stock and they deliver. I had problems with pre-orders with them. I don't think any of these discount sites will get a sniff of this Bill Evans title. If Music Direct is sold out, then that means no mas.
I preordered the Santana one step through import cds. They ended up cancelling it after a long wait. Then I had to contact them to refund my money.
i bought the Santana off Ebay. i order two copy of the bill Evans one step from music direct January 6
Thanks for the education, and the insight about the Neil Young's Greatest Hits. I just ordered one from a highly-rated Discogs seller, for $32.00. This could very well be my ultimate Down By The River. Presently, it's the 24/192 Blu ray from the Archives set. .
https://s1.postimg.org/89255esb3/IMG_1652.jpg I noticed the Bill Evans one-step album in the background of this photo taken at last weekend's AXPONA and posted on the MD Facebook page. I wonder if it was played/previewed?
The only valid information I have seen comes from the Mofi Facebook page on March 2nd that mentioned they were hoping to ship it by the end of May.
