Yes, but... how about UHQR better? The good guys at MOFI are among the best mastering engineers out there but hard rock is not one of their strengths. Imagine what Steve Hoffman/Bernie Grundman/Chris Bellman can do with Back in Black or... Powerage!
They already have. The remastering really adds a lot of air and three-dimensionality to that recording.
I think getting Highway To Hell on a one step or even ANY audiophile treatment would be awesome. As long as they dont try and make it sound like they are mastering a James Taylor album. But I seriously doubt it will happen. I think there are certain groups or most groups that are not even remotely interested in doing some audiophile version of their best albums at some little practically unknown to most audiophile label.
A mighty wind...Almost as musically interesting as the original train recordings that launched Mobile Fidelity.
He's wrong. Only one title was made using digital. All the rest used analog tape. In Step was the only one recorded digitally.
On this shot of the CD liner notes, some tracks are ADD and some are DDD. Not sure how much faith to put into it....but...
What does Fremer mean by "corrected copy" in the title of the article here?: Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble TEXAS Hurricane Box Set (corrected copy)
He seems to title his posts like that when he has changed some content. Nothing to do with the reviewed item. VPI Launches "The Nomad" Complete Headphone-Friendly Turntable System (Corrected Copy) Acoustical Systems' Axiom Pick-up Arm Is on a La Platine Verdier (corrected copy)
Thanks for the heads up. I would like to know but understand and would rather know some exciting things are coming than nothing. Can you share genres?
Actually the other titles are available for preorder and include Bob Dylan and Marvin Gaye if you call Music Direct.
UHQR Hendrix brings UD1S Dylan. My, my! Since they are available to preorder, can you share the titles please?
