Today, MOFI posted a pic of a stamper to their Facebook page with a note about getting new releases ready.
I saw BOTW at my local dealer today and bought it on impulse. I like Simon and Garfunkel but not $100 like. Anyways, my copy is perfect -- flat, quiet, and centered. Had I read this thread first, I probably would have passed, given the reported bad pressings and my luck getting the worst possible copy.
Why? they only really need to appeal to a dedicated fan base of 7000 They could probably easily sell out a good Aimee Mann title or Beck
Would love to see Sam Cooke's live at the harlem sqaure club on a one-step. id easily slap down 125 for that.
Francisx, what are your limited numbers on your boxes? I have #1418 and #2207. Have you played both boxes, 2 lps each? Any scruffs, bad pops after cleaning, or warped records? Where inner sleeves scratched? I'll appreciate your reply soon. Thank you Francisx.
Emailists, what were your limited numbers, to see if you were close to mine? Mine were #1418 and #2207.
#2756. Two disc 1’s. Otherwise a nice condition set. Preordered but sat unopened at my US shipping address until last week. Contacted MOFI and got an immediate response saying they will ship disc 2. Glad they are still providing replacements!
Still waiting on replacement records (slightly warped) and sleeves (One-Step Shuffle) through Elusive Disc.
And he won't. Sold out. Why would mofi care if he gets a copy for review? I'm sure he knows someone who has a copy.
I think it’s pretty random. It’s just human error. Was this process ever automated, or is there always a fallible human being placing records in inner sleeves? Even when albums used to sell in the millions?
In the video of the MusicDirect warehouse, the guy giving the tour to Fremer says they give him a copy of all the Mofi releases so I'm sure he has one.
Is someone actually waiting for M. Fremer's review before buying on the secondary market? If not, and you already have this LP, the review would be meaningless. Make up your own mind how it sounds.
Either way, I pre-ordered them 11 months ago. Late Spring at the earliest would mean 17 months from pre-order, a year and a half. Could be up to two years. Wake me when they ship.
Love the BOTW more and more every time I listen. Quite bummed I missed out on Village Vanguard and Santana Better to be late to the party than not at all, I suppose
