    RonBaker simply stated for him.

For millions of people the Monkees ceased to exist after spring '68.

Well, just got back from the gig. They did an almost 90 minute show. Damn good one too! Don't know the configuration for other venues, but for this one - wide open stage with lighting front "row" and back of stage. A video screen ran about 2o feet of stage right and showed appropriate video footage of the song played. Anybody who can see them....GO. Again, I was shocked to see them booked here. Thought for sure I'd have to do another damn casino to see them. My only negative is that they should have been booked to close tonight instead of Andy Grammar. On a side note, Johnny Rivers playing before A Band Called Perry? Christ........

    Anyhow....here's what they played:

    Monkees Theme
    Last Train To Clarksville
    Auntie Griselza
    She
    Mary Mary
A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You
    A Girl I Knew Somewhere
    Back On My Feet
    For Pete's Sake
    Words
    Randy Scouse Git
    No Time
    Papa Gene's Blues
    Take A Giant Step
    D W Washburn
    Didn't I(A Peter Tork Song....had a psychedelic video playing)?
    Goin' Down
    Pleasant Valley Sunday
    Listen To The Band
    Daydream Believer
    I'm Not Your Steppin' Stone
    I'm A Believer

Cool that I'll Be Back On My Feet is on the list, other than that...I guess I'm glad that I saw Mike sing a lot of those songs a few times.

Thanks. Many around us were thinking....WTF is Peter singing? You should have seen the crowd file out after the set was over. Hopefully, Family Gras is paying attention who fills the area for the gigs.

Unfortunately, No. Don't know how long the tour is, but maybe it will be included in the set(s). Before this show, tried setlist.fm for ideas on what to expect, but nothing posted anywhere since Sept. 2015. I'm keeping fingers crossed a video comes of this if Mike makes it out for a show or two. The band backing them is VERY good.

Strange because I thought that As We Go Along was a highlight when I saw them. Mickey kills that one.

He couldn't replace EVERYONE in the touring organization with his children.

Nez or not, "Porpoise" and "As We Go Along" were the best parts of the '11-'14 tours - Der Skillet just knocked 'em out of the park. This, to me, is far more of a deal-breaker than LBJ not joining up with Hubert Humphrey and Bill the Cat.

I kid... but still - put those damn songs back in the setlist!

"Take A Giant Step" is a nice addition - did that make the '15 D/ork tour? I honestly can't remember. Did they do an acoustic version?

The Monkees sharing a bill with Dr. John! This has to be a first...

After seeing this video, forgot to put "That Was Then" in the list. The memory isn't what it used to be!

Sadly, no. Don't know if it's personal or physical issues, but he was a no show.

Family Gras made this a great weekend for me. Dr. John Friday night, Monkees yesterday, and I'm heading out in a few to see Johnny Rivers. Within walking distance and the atmosphere isn't the manic crap you have in the city.

For what it's worth, after Nez announced he was cancelling that UK tour, some fans inquired about his health on his Facebook page and he assured those concerned that he was fine, and he'd cancelled the tour because the show just wasn't coming together in rehearsals (IIRC). He added that he had some other reasons for stepping back and he'd have more to say on the subject at a later time, but if he followed up on that, I missed it.

    I hope he's well.

I agree he may be the face of the Monkees, but when I saw the tour after his death, I really did not miss HIS SONGS all that much. Of course I love the Nez stuff, and I think Dolenz has one of the most underrated voices in 60's pop/rock, so I am a bit biased. I do think you need 3 for a quorum, so I'm gonna take my 2013 show and be happy.
