Monkees and Nez float Playing Fests..

Nez's FB posts reveal the Monkees are planning late Summer-Fall festival show or show's.. Personally I think Andrew Sandoval, Micky, Mike and Peter should headline and choose the opening acts,.. Any suggestions ?

 

I would take it all with a grain of salt.
That being said, if this does happen, it would rid my guilty feelings for not wanting to see a show of the recent incarnation.

 

Flo and Eddie. They can fly in Chip Douglas and he can play with both the Monkees and the Turtles. But I know they are doing their own thing.

 

I've seen close to 100 bands live, Monkees w Nez was magical.. One of the six shows I've recently seen was 2011 and 2012 Beacon theater NYC.. if you YouTube Beacon 2012 "You told me" with Nez out front with his 12 string and Peter on banjo you can catch the vibe.. You must go.. You'll be blown away

I saw The Monkees with Mike three times over the 2012-14 tours. All three shows were magical experiences. I was referring to the current Micky and Peter incarnation. I'm skipping it.

I hope whatever they do with Nez they professionally film it. The official Monkees youtube page is finally showing recent professional live clips but of only Peter and Micky.

 

I always "presumed" his real name was Stanley Livingston (two bad jokes in one!!!)

 

Ok yes totally get it re just Micky and Peter.. I actually went last year to M & P in Westbury NY to see them.. Only because my current girlfriend had never seen them.. It was enjoyable but a lot of the dynamics were missing!! My girlfriend Cassandra was blown away though..

 

That would be great if he joined them.

 

This is great news that with some patience, we can possibly expect Mike back. That'll put my butt in the seat again!

 

Can we integrate this into the 'Nesmith not on Monkees tour' thread?

 

I'd go to a concert of the Micky/Peter incarnation of The Monkees... Having seen them a grand total of once, I'd welcome any variation... (But, it looks like the M&P Monkees aren't going to be anywhere nearby, so I won't be going anyway...)
