If that happens, I'm sure I'll be buying them.

Back when those SACDs were released, I was very disappointed that there wasn't a multi-channel release for In Search of the Lost Chord as it's my favorite MB album. Ironically, if only one of the classic 7 could be done in multi-channel, that title would have been my choice.

My pre-order has been placed! :pineapple:

So what's left for Moody Blues quad releases? Wonder if Blu Jays will ever see the light of day. That would be a hoot to listen to in quad.

Since Ray Thomas' From Mighty Oaks (his sole Quad album) was released in 2010, we can hope for Blue Jays to get a similar treatment, unless the release is stopped because of legal nonsense.

Trapeze which also included a very young Glenn Hughes and recently departed Dave Holland on drums too. :)

  6. Indeed they did - saw them many times at local venues back in the day. Always put on a good show.

    Best Wishes,

Blue Jays was mixed in quad, but never released. It's "out there" and is fascinating listening.

Of course, I don't know what I was thinking. Maybe it was This is The Moody Blues that was ready to go in quad, then shelved?

Hello, is this surround DVD a DVD-A in full fidelity or a DTS 96/24 DVD-V? I am praying the former. They should have done it as a bluray audio.

    But it's preordered regardless.

I sorta figured. Just like that box set from a few years back.

Why spend all that time and then put it out in a lossy format.

I'm thankful they've opted to make a 5.1 mix of the album in the first place. They could have easily chosen not to. I'm simply hoping the mix will be as good as the Quad mixes fro the other core seven albums.

Has it ever been reported that they went missing in the first place?

Unfortunately, one week away from the release date of Nov. 2nd, Amazon.co.uk now says:
"Currently unavailable. We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock."
Sooooo, either a delay, or the 1st pressing has sold out already on pre-orders. It's still listed on the US site, but they're be getting them from Europe as an import. Anyone know what's up?

I'm very much looking forward to this set so I hope it's not delayed, but hey, after waiting 45 years for a surround version, what's another week or two?
It'd be great to have Moody fever again;)

Haven’t heard any change of date.
    But
It is ominous that per previous poster UK Amazon says “unavailable”..
Maybe they didn’t make enough copies ???
