Let‘s say the tt runs at 33 1/3 rpm.
That‘s 100 rotations in 3 minutes (180 sec.), and that‘s 5/9 rotations per second.

Perimeter P in a circle with Diameter D is
P = π D

Taking 12" (or 30 cm or 0.3 m) as the outer diameter (starting groove), you get a perimeter of 0,94 m.
Velocity v is defined as change of position or distance x in respect to time t:
v = x/t

As the tt does 5/9 rotations in a second, the stylus runs 5/9 of the perimeter in a second.
Hence, we have a velocity of 0.52 m/s = 1.87 km/h = 1.16 mph on the outer groove.

Taking now the inner diameter (ending groove) with round about 4" (or 0.1 m), the perimeter of the end groove is 0.31 m.
And as the tt still makes 5/9 rotations per second, that‘s a velocity v = 0.17 m/s = 0.62 km/h = 0.38 mph

RESUMÉ: the "stylus speed" at the beginning of an LP is 1.16 mph, at the end it's 0.38 mph.
