I've got nothing much to show but I'll have a little dig. I'm happy just to enjoy your collection though, it's a treat to see such nice images of rare stuff (Beatles particularly) along with the history. Keep it up! :righton:

  13. I'm not sure if this is gonna work, but here are some promo buttons from the early 80's (except for the Kinks, which is from the 60's - and all of my pre-80s buttons were stolen during a burglary in which I lost my stereo, jewelry, a lot of records, etc. But why they took the buttons has always puzzled me). You may not be able to make them out, but I tried...

Does one of the STIFF ones say 'ain't worth a seminar?', what's that all about?

Otherwise my faves are the original STIFF uncensored one, the Rutles 'trousers' one and that Clash Sherrif's badge. Any 'Tubes' memorabilia knocking about? They're my pet band.

  18. The "seminar' one was about the New Music Seminar, which was a big record/radio confab in NYC which ran from 1979 or 1980 thru 1995 and was relaunched in 2009 and ran for a few years. Stiff loved buttons and used any excuse to make some. The original "If It Ain't..." slogan was put on anything, t-shirts, posters, all kindsa stuff. Somewhere I have the "tube" that graced the cover of "The Completion Backward Principle." If I find it I'll post if for you. I have a bunch more buttons but I can't remember what band or label they represent, but I really really miss the ones I don't have anymore!
