Hard Days Night movie premier ticket, Corona Del Mar, CA
Handbill for a show that included Rory Storm & the Hurricanes, Ringo’s Band before he joined the Beatles...
This is a signed set list for the Derek Trucks Band at the Park West in Chicago, on Jan. 28, 2006. My wife and I were at the concert, which was excellent. The show was filmed and recorded for a DVD release. I got a copy on a promotion from Amazon, which included the set list below. Somebody in the band, I believe it was the drummer, did a hand-painted set list for every DTB show.
Tony Levin/King Crimson handwritten set list for Crimson concert July 27, 1982 at Meadow Brook, NJ.
Oh wait. The Beatles stuff I posted up-thread aren't signed. Sorry!
No matter, thanks for posting James... good stuff.
love that handbill... any idea what year ?
Duuuh... I need to open my eyes!
Really a killer piece.
WFiL Radio Philadelphia "Helping Hand Marathon" 1975 Charity Weekend promo flier.
John Lennon was on hand doing live radio, and TV at WPVI.
Much of the later signed material comes from this period, John was very outgoing and in
great form .. signing, talking, joking, taking photos and generally going wild with tons of
fans during the weekend. He played DJ on the radio, and did the weather live on TV.
Longtime friend Larry Kane worked at the station and had known John since the early days
of Beatlemania. John took full control of the invitation, and a memorable time in history is
what we have to look back on. There is a wealth of audio and video available on youtube!
John Lennon Apple Records signed 8 x 10 promotional photo for the "Rock'N'Roll" LP.
Released February 1975 ... this photo was signed a couple months later at the WFiL event
on May 16, 1975. I acquired this in 1978 Beatlefest Chicago, it remains as one of the apex
pieces of my collection.
The Godmother Of Rock and Roll ... The Original Soul Sister
Sister Rosetta Tharpe .. signed August 24, 1964.
Ringo Starr Official Rawlings National League baseball signed on the sweet spot.
Ringo used the "star" graphic which was used between 1992 - 1999, after which he abandoned
it and only signs his first name. Signed for the Pediatric Aids Foundation Charity auction.
I should probably get this last one framed at some point.
T Lev's concert used pick which he flicked out after the Peter Gabriel concert at the Stanley Theatre Pgh, PA. c., 1977
The mysterious guitarist Dusty Roads (RF) was half shrouded in the curtains at right.
Adrian Belew concert used pick from the Nashville Warm-Up Sessions Weekend at 12th and Porter c., 2001.
Paul McCartney pick from 2005 US Tour VIP Boston Gardens package.
Paul McCartney personal pick from 2010 concert at Console Energy Stadium Pgh, PA.
There were only 24 people at the VIP pre-show soundcheck... Paul decided to do a solo
acoustic set lasting about 45 minutes. Close and intimate, these were given to us after
Bob Dylan U.S. Columbia "Another Side Of Bob Dylan" LP.
Very strange, but well documented rare embossed raised label with numerous
Columbia eye logo designs. c., 1964.
Man that's a beauty Bruce!
Some excellent stuff!
Not sure if this counts, but apart from a ton of promo singles and stuff from bands no one cares about ( ),
I managed to somehow save about a 100 longbox art cuts-
Weren't those cool, looking back now.
Still have my Beatles, but that's all.
Those are 2 of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. Cheers, guys.
I have The Quiet Side of New Christy Minstrels on that label....not the Dylan tho....
I have to sit this round out but here's a few things: The Go-Gos - Beauty & The Beat "gold record" (sorta)
