This note arrived with the box set, several months after receiving a congratulatory call from the U.K. ... was told to be patient, as it was being personally sent and tracked to each individual member all over the world at the time.. many on tour, etc. The topper most piece of the KC collection.

THE BEATLES - Extremely Rare U.S. Award Plague (1964)

Probably the rarest actual piece in the entire collection...
Imagine, all four Beatles were given this award, and we never knew (?)
It was only when Ringo .. who obviously kept it on his wall in one of his
many homes for 51 years let it go at the Julien's auction of December, 2015.
I bet Paul kept his too ... anyway, was waiting to share this one with you,
and I really hope you dig it. Note how Ringo is listed as number three ..
and when I got it the five white spot wiped right off! A few screws replaced,
and it is a miracle piece!

Bob Dylan - "John Wesley Harding" Sealed Promotional LP
While the psychedelic summer of love, Sgt. Pepper, and everybody
else was in full 'swing' mode Dylan released this true folk rock masterpiece.
Easily one of the best of 1967.. still. This one has the promo time strip cover, stamped
reverse, and the LP is sealed in the Columbia plastic perforated bag.

Much debate surrounded the LP cover, which seemed to portray The Beatles heads within the bark of the tree at the very top center area when the album cover is viewed upside down. Strong glasses or magnifying instrument helps. The photographer John Berg acknowledged it, but played mostly coy about it. After receiving a call from Rolling Stone in March, 1968 he admitted that he did see them on his proof copy, but stated it was not at all intentional.
Hmm... perhaps a small homage touch after Sgt. Pepper.

    Grazie Giorgio,
Yes they do.. the best of all is the original '67 and 1970's LP slicks.
CD's are rather weak, and color shades have changed through the years.
Most do see it .. some don't.

John Lennon - "Shaved Fish" Promo Display
U.S. Apple Records promotional hanging in-store mobile display.
Ltd distribution, these were quite eye catching.. as the LP cover art
work was framed within an outer blue border, and would turn freely
around. Measures aprox 17" x 17". My personal copy is packed away
in boxes up in the freezing attic.. full disclosure this is a photo I found
on the web this morning. Fortunately, mine is clear of the scratches seen
    on this example.

Ringo Starr - "Blast From Your Past" Promo Display
U.S. Apple Records promotional hanging in-store mobile display.
Ltd distribution.. as with the Lennon promo above the LP cover art
work is framed within the outer blue border.. freely turning, and when
the two get going it makes for a terrific eye catching point of purchase
display. This was the final Apple record released.. and had the rare bright
red apple logo at the bottom frame. There is some question as to these being
from the U.K. however, as I recall I got them from my local go to promo man.

The Beatles - Possible Unpublished Photos...
These four beautiful large 14'' x 11'' b&w prints were given to me by a fellow collector
many years ago.. I believe the story was his uncle had taken them or something like that,
there are no stamps or photo credits on the reverse. Sometimes, one or two look vaguely familiar, then it all falls apart. I can not say I have ever seen them anywhere before.
My guess is sometime in 1966, location unknown ..
Have you any information, or seen one before ? No speculation please.

While digging in a record crate in the blue room for the latest Fripp
rarities posted above, I happened on a second signed copy of the great
Jack Bruce's final LP "Silver Rails". It's a brand new, unplayed gatefold
album and beautifully hand signed. Phil Manzanera, and Robin Trower
guest and many more. Nearly identical to the one I posted earlier here.
I want to thank everyone for the support and encouragement, especially
those who have shared and posted to help the thread along...

I'm going to ask that you would post something special... the rarer the better
in the next few days. I will choose my fave, and send you the Jack Bruce LP.
Absolutely free, postage paid ... Enjoy!

The Beatles - "Summer Of Love" Promotional CD Set
U.S. Capitol Records Three CD Set .. 30th Anniversary September, 1997.
These were to be issued as a Capitol 30th anniversary campaign, when it
was abandoned. The promo CD's were made w. covers. Becoming quite rare,
an onslaught of inferior bootleg copies flooded the collectors market.
    c., 1997.

I am elated, as this set has been MIA for over 15 years .. found today when I opened up the Eno "HEADCANDY" box... YES!
