The Beatles - "Magical Mystery Tour" .. DeAgostini LP
E.U. Apple / Universal 12" sealed DeAgostini subscription service "Magical Mystery Tour" album. With Capitol rainbow Stereo labels, MMT booklet, and the backing card the LP comes attached to. This is a new product that has just finished the full catalogue production. I had refused to get caught up in yet another set of every album.. so I did not subscribe. I wanted one copy since they are 180 gm, and have exclusive label variations, and two stickers on the f/b covers. The sound quality reviews have been quite high, the packaging looks excellent.. I'll keep the one copy sealed.

The Beatles - 12 " LP Record .. And Other Formats ... And Back Again.
The above top photo shows the U.S. LP, and the subsequent music formats.
However... many people are not aware there was a 4 Track tape / deck called the
"Muntz Stereo Pak". Earl "Madman" Muntz out of Cali, brought the 4 track tape
revolutionizing the entire automobile hi-fi experience. He was an innovator and
wild man who developed and sold cars, TV sets, auto hi fi players, following a race
car career .. his advertising was over the top crazy. These Muntz systems took off-
the only way we obtained music then was from record, or the Muntz tape. I grew up
as a kid during Beatlemania in L.A. and these Muntz installation store/centers were
    everywhere like McDonalds.
    c., 1964.

Eventually, "PlayTape" was a two-track tape system that was developed that could be played on a portable tape deck. The Beatles "Rubber Soul" is shown above, it was similar to an 4 song EP. Soon Muntz came out with a portable carry tape and player also .. but the 8- track was coming on fast. c., 1966.

What comes around goes around ... at least at 33.3 , I'm thankful for that!

Don't know if I said this before, but it seems the label copy was way off center . . . also, wouldn't this have been from Santa Maria?

This'd be Pitman . . . their sheets had the code number for Columbia label blanks (2491) etched onto the offset plate. Santa Maria's had numbers (such as the upside-down '2' set in Franklin Gothic) in that section.

I may've mentioned this before, but the red was PMS 199 and the orange appears to be PMS 136, printed in such a way as to have fooled me into thinking it was more like PMS 150.

    Also . . . for people collecting stuff like this . . .
. . . labels with 'VENDOR #06' on the lower center right corner indicate the sheet (printed on 70 lb. Paloma Matte paper stock from Consolidated Papers, Inc. of Wisconsin Rapids, WI) emanated from Stoughton Printing Co. of Los Angeles and, later, City of Industry, CA. (1980's label sheets turned out by the company had 'SPC' in News Gothic Bold; also, label sheets with 'GRIPPER' and pointed hand symbols all over the place, and a K in a circle or a keystone symbol, would appear to have been printed by Keystone Printed Specialties Co., Inc. in Scranton, PA.)

For a 3.3125" diameter trim label as this, the bleed was 3.5625", a '6-up' sheet was 10.6875" x 7.125", and such sheets were usually printed 60 up on a 25" x 38" piece of paper. (The drilled hole was usually 0.281", though by the late 1970's it expanded a bit in some plants and printers to 0.289".)

U.S. Dark Horse Records 7" wlp promo 45 and detailed promo PS telling the story of
the legal court case where George and Harrisongs Music Inc. was sued over his number one hit song "My Sweet Lord" .. Bright Tunes Music claimed it infringed copyright of the writer of The Chiffons song "He's So Fine" ... Complete with three large court boards with music notes, and several music experts in their fields, citing a three-notepattern that they claimed Harrison infringed upon. Not a collector of radio shows, but Dan Neer’s 1992 show featuring George Harrison is one I treasure. A four-hour show on four very nice custom label CD’s with cue sheets.
