Most beautifully recorded acoustic guitars?

Lots of my favorites listed already.

For a change of pace, listening to Paco De Lucia's flamenco guitar work...

 

Willie Nelson's guitar on Spirit sounds wonderful. That is a killer album and is beautifully recorded IMO.

 

Also, the big open chords on Beck's Golden Age. mmmmmm

 

I like the acoustic guitar on that song, but I always thought it sounded a bit too compressed.
For ELP songs I prefer the acoustic on In The Beginning. Nice fat sound.

 

Oh. Do you cconsider the J-160E that the Beatles used an "acoustic guitar?"

Yep, my first though when seeing the thread title was Crosby's Laughing from IICORMN.

My second thought was Genesis - Cinema Show - well its actually a three guitar finger-picked weave of two acoustics and one electric.

Its a Gibson Acoustic Electric, this gives obvious choices and combinations for recording
Pauls D28 Martin is evidently an acoustic, the sound on Blackbird is brilliant.

I'd also add this trio's 1996 Universal CD The Guitar Trio & particularly its beautiful track 4 (Manhã de Carnaval)... Love the acoustic guitar work and sound on Chet Atkins & Mark Knopfler 1990 album Neck And Neck.

Thanks so much for this. Always wondered about this. But then, I shouldn't be surprised as it complemented his playing so wonderfully well
to my ears. Truly a great recording.
