Most exciting 2017 release/reissue?

This is kind of a follow-up to Upcoming Super-box-sets released for Christmas buying season 2016: which are you buying?

Of the recent and upcoming new albums and reissues, which are exciting you most? Which did/will you buy?

Why are the DiAgostini Beatles albums re-issues? Aren't they taken from the 2012 re-issue set?

 

um.. Kraftwerk The Catalogue 3-D?

 

Prince and (possibly/hopefully) Neil for me. As well as Junie Morrison 'The Complete Westbound Recordings'.

 

Something else - the recently announced Laura Nyro mono set.

 

Other for already released:

Run The Jewels 3
Elbow - Little Fictions
Sundays RSD reissue of Blind
Kendrick Lamar - DAMN.
Minus the Bear - Voids
New Pornographers - Whiteout Conditions

Upcoming....not certain. Perhaps the new Fleet Foxes.

 

For a lot of people they are the first taste of Beatles on vinyl. And they are packaged/sold/distributed differently. They seem like reissues to me.

 

For me,as of now(subject to change) the Metallica Master of Puppets Deluxe Edition will most likely be my favorite reissue/archive thingy of 2017.
Since there is no: Van Halen Archives,Zeppelin Japan 1971,Iron Maiden Japan`81 Beast`82 among others.....
Maybe The Doors and Hendrix will leak a couple unreleased songs in 2066!

Well the most obvious answer is not even on your list!? 'Songs From The Wood' Jethro Tull reissue.

 

So far the 29cd Golden Earring complete studio collection has been by far the best reissue of 2017

 

None of that stuff.

2. Kraftwerk 3D; haven't decided which option, but could actually get more airtime that Pepper's
3. Passion, Grace and Fire; the guitar trio on 180 grams vinyl rerelease on Audio Fidelity.

 

Two others are Songs From The Wood (Jethro Tull) reissue and the alternate Mirage (Fleetwood Mac).

I haven't got them but apparently they're the 2009 remasters and they sound really great

 

If Hitchhiker is released there's no question that would be the greatest collection of unheard music in a long time. Truly great unreleased music from at the peak of his most prolific period. Imagine Bob having another album as good as Blood On The Tracks but keeping it in the can.

 

Re: the hundreds of releases not included, that's why there's a vote option for: Something else from 2017 not mentioned above, which I will tell you about below...

 

I realize they're distributed and sold differently; but how are the LP's themselves and album any covers any different? ? If these were truly re-issues it would imply remastering. Do the album covers and record labels indicate that these were mastered beyond 2009?

 

Okay...so they are *not* re-issues. Simply the same as the 2012's only with DeAgostini packaging. Thanks.
