It was an acquired taste for me. I hated it for a very long time, but now it just might be my favorite song from Sticky Fingers

Sitting on a Fence is a big favorite of mine, both musically and lyrically, but it doesn't seem to be on anyone's radar as a top early Stones song. I love it, right down to the botched guitar note right at the end.

I wouldn't call Dead Floweres underappreciated!

My vote goes to Sitting On A Fence.

Are we talking underappreciated by the general public?

In which case it has to be Sway and Moonlight Mile.

    Oh, and Monkey Man :)

I've gotta go with "Sing This All Together" and "On With The Show", two of the more unloved nuggets from Satanic.

If I could only choose one, this would be it.

I'll throw one more in - "She Said Yeah" - one of the great opening songs on a record.

Oh, and about half of Exile qualifies.

I love this tune but it never gets mentioned

john lennonist There ONCE was a NOTE, PURE and EASY...

Several from their Debut LP ("Little by Little" and "I'm a King Bee" probably being my faves)... I don't understand why this album doesn't rank higher in SHF polls -- I feel the same way regarding "With the Beatles" in SHF Beatles polls

and (in chronological order, I think)

    Little Red Rooster
    The Spider and the Fly
    High and Dry
    Think
    She Smiled Sweetly
    Stray Cat Blues
The Lantern (I know I'm in the minority -- I don't get the love for "Citadel" nor the lack of love for "The Lantern")
    Monkey Man
    Dead Flowers
    Starfvcker
    Before They Make Me Run

Agreed 100%. I can't tell you how many times I have talked to other music fans who say that a compilation is "all they need" from the Stones. It makes no sense to me. They are missing out on untold riches! We're only two pages in on this thread and dozens of amazing non-single songs have already been mentioned.

I was feeling pretty cool, since no one had mentioned Child Of The Moon, and I was going to win!

Then I saw John Fell's post, and I'm off to drown my sorrows in gin.

"She's So Cold" is one of my favorite Stones songs. Despite a fair amount of radio play when ER was released, it rarely finds its way on to any hits compilations.
