Have you ever wondered about some great movie actors who didn't have a tv series, but should have...how about tough[Kirk Douglas]as a private eye..Edward G. Robinson as a tough lawyer...Jimmy Cagney as a newspaper editor...Randolph Scott as the mayor of a town in the old west...Clark Gable as a tough modern day police captain...Charlton Heston as modern day U.S. Marshall...it would've been fun to see em on the small screen!

It has traditionally been considered to be a step down in prestige for film actors to work in television, probably more so back in the 50s and 60s. That mindset has been changing in recent years.

Did you read the question? I didn't ask about-tradition,I asked who you would've liked to have seen on the small screen..this ain't-rocket science.
