Does anyone know? Is there a perceived lack of demand?

I think Taylor and his people are suppressing its release.

Not all films have been released on Blu.

  4. In this slow economy, vintage catalog titles are considered low-demand unless it's a proven perennial, like "The Wizard Of Oz", "Gone With The Wind" or "Lawrence Of Arabia", all of which have received multi-million dollar hi-def restorations from their respective Hollywood studios. Black & White films are practically considered the kiss of death commercially these days...it's an unfortunate reality of today's home video market...:sigh:

    Michael I LOVE WIDE S-T-E-R-E-O!

most B&W films are not top priority in the BR world...they want films that really show off the format...new releases do the job.
