Correction. I meant to say 3 every two months for a total of 18.

He also says it sounds fantastic, plus MM hasn't said anything about the next wave of Blue Note 33s yet.

They tend to publish a picture of the actual tape box when they launch a release.

I wish someone would make a great pressing of Andrew Hill's Passing Ships. Not sure why this hasn't happened yet.

Isn't passing ships the date that did not have a stereo analog master? I believe that they only had the analog multi-track session tapes which Malcolm Addey mixed to two-track. This mix was most likely done in the digital domain.

A bit of detective work via pages on the MM website that have yet to go live.

Still, it could be mixed down on analog, correct? This is really just one step.

  13. Maiden Voyage for the umpteenth time? Give me a nudge if they ever get round to Duke Pearson's Wahoo! or Freddie Hubbard's Blue Spirits. Sam River's Contours? Basra Pete LaRoca? I'd be up for any and all of those.

IME, MM has been consistently better than APO.

Liking the looks of 2015 so far. I'm kind of new to this game and have a relatively meager Blue Note collection, so the only duplicates so far are Hub-Tones and Maiden Voyage.

I just shelled out $70 for Matador on 45, and had/have mixed feeling about subscribing and receiving another version when there's so much I don't have (and haven't heard). (edit: early reports had Matador on the list for 2015, though it hasn't appeared "officially" yet.)

Matador is still going to be relatively rare even with the 45 and 33 versions given it never had a proper release originally. I wonder how long it will take to sell out this time.
