I'm looking forward to getting Matador on the 33 release since I didn't get the 45. But dang, I wish MM would release Feelin' The Spirit!

I remember not seeing the greatest review on the 45 of Empyrean Isles. Is there a chance this will be better, or is it that the original recording isn't the greatest?

Strange eh... I guess they are on holiday or haven't uploaded these to the site yet (hence the delay in announcing?)

seems to be a lot of repeats of the 45s.

I agree. If this is the list I cannot justify keeping my subscription going. Too many double dips on 45 titles I have that are just fine (I have 14/20 titles). I plan to cherry pick titles from here on out. I find this list disappointing. Of these 20 I will buy 5 new titles. The rest are repeats of what I have: I may get a few of my favorites in 33 and pass on the rest.

Looking at the 33 release schedule I am definitely going to buy the January lot (even though I have OTL on 45); Ike in Feb; Herbie in March; Stanley in April; maybe both May issues even though I have Grant on 45; skipping July unless the Andrew Hill is miles ahead of my 45; Jackie in August; skipping September and October and buying Kenny in December. This means I will be buying at least 8 of them.

These 2015 reissues are to celebrate Blue Note's 76th anniversary.

Yeah I'm also disappointed with the list... man, so many repeats. I'll be cancelling my subscription and just purchasing a few here and there. Some really interesting new titles though. I'm glad to see Bud Powell getting some love!

I will be getting them all, I have found the 33s to sound better than the 45s and they are of course a lot more comfortable to listen to - not having to flip sides so often. A few I already have on 45 which I will just keep. Very happy with the new releases and that MM are continuing to re-issue BNs.

Really unfortunate that buying MM vinyl in Europe at a reasonable price is virtually impossible. :(

I get mine direct for Music Matters, very economical that way.

We gotta keep in mind that nothing official has been announced yet. Whatever we posted are simply some nosy digging through MM's website. In the end, if the official 2015 titles are not up to our expectation (perhaps due to sales forecast, original tape condition/availability, or the direction of the wind), we should still be able to appreciate and applaud MM's efforts.

I just received the announcement email from Music Matters, 20 new titles starting with Out To Lunch and Maiden Voyage in January. I will be continuing my subscription, because even though quite a few of these are repeats, I only have two of them currently. I was really hoping they would delve deeper into the catalog, but I'm still looking forward to 2015.

The Prestige stereo titles Kevin Gray and APO are doing are much more appealing than MM's 2015 Blue Note list-- instead of still more iterations of Grant Green, we'll get the likes of Booker Ervin and Gene Ammons in new transfers.

Oh man I'm extremely excited about some of these, but particularly Out to Lunch. One of my favorite Jazz albums. Gonna be another pricey year for me...

I'm looking far more forward to the Prestige Stereo series. I only have a few of the titles as older OJC reissues from the 80s.

I have 70% of the Music Matters 2015 list in audiophile reissue form already (MM and AP 45s). I am canceling my subscription.
