Isaac Stern was buried at the Morningside Cemetery in Gaylordsville, Connecticut. Instead of "violinist" on the marker, a "fiddler"... he recorded the theme of Fiddler On the Roof. Also worth noting: among several violins Stern played was the "Kruse-Vormbaum" Stradivarius, dating from 1728 (to refer to post 603 in this thread).

i've never heard Miles Davis referrED too as "sir"; however i am not too jazzy either.
Was that done in 2001 or later?

That couldn't have been done when "Luke The Drifter" 1st passed, could it?

Kent is my hometown and I've walked through Standing Rock Cemetery many many times. Several relatives are there. And Devo is one of my favorite bands.

We appreciate that here. Yes, that final resting place is less than a mile from here, and my son has ran in there for years now...it's so peaceful, and quiet. Across the street ( Gallatin Road ), is a National Cemetery.
Back in the neighborhood are the homes of Kitty Wells, and Hank Snow.
Within walking distance of Spring Hill, is Colonel Tom Parker's office.
