I highly recommend downloading a copy of REW, and spending $90 (US) on a USB measurement microphone.

Many of us will never have the opportunity to custom build a viewing / listening room - good for you! I will live vicariously through your efforts and photos, it looks absolutely wonderful! I can truly say I am envious!

Yes, BAT is Russian-owned, so is Bache Acoustics (speakers).

Well, efficient speakers are not an issue, and most of my listening is jazz, anyway, so low-power SET is still in he stars for me, but only when I finally move to a bigger place. I have 3 full-blown systems now, including 5 turntables and 4 sets of speakers, in a 2-room apartment.

Guys this is not my set up, as I said it's my friend's. He also built a dedicated room but had to use tons of acoustic treatment and bass traps since the room is barely adequate to the monstrous size of his Westlake speakers. However it worked and the system sounds absolutely amazing. The other thing that worked beautifully was a bi-amp set up using 4 (!) powerful SET monoblocks. The level of detail in his system is mindblowing, you can literally count the number of violins in an orchestra. My system which I posted earlier is much more modest.

Here are the correctly posted pics of my room and much more modest system for folks who can't see the previous ones

Oh I know. You're system is a beauty as well. Both of your system are very much my cup of tea. These powerhouse Russian Single ended amps, and both of your speakers, just love it all.. 4 SET amps driving your buddies speakers LOL. Just insane. Look at the size of those transformers!!!!!! Im going to say between those 4 amps we're talking about 600lb of amp. At least.

Yes - and thanks for doing that.

Aside: both of my amps are made in the USA by Russians - the preamp is a BAT and the monoblock SETs are from Lamm.

I've heard great things about Lamm but the prices are insane so I never tried one.

I must say, I've never seen such a tiny little turntable and electronics. :p

LOL, the speakers indeed dwarf them. They are huge. 123 cm high 67 cm wide and 49 cm deep. That's 49/27/19 inches if I did the right math. Heavy as hell also.
