I've been trying to access My eBay for three days, and continue to get, "Your sign-in information is not valid. Please try again." I tried to get a new password -- when I did, eBay attempted to send new password information to someone else's email address! I emailed eBay three days ago and have had no response from them (why in the hell don't they have a phone #!) Has anyone had this experience, and if so, what did you do to rectify the situation? Thanx!!

    Stever,

I hope that your account hasn't been hijacked. This has happened to sellers recently. Are you a seller?
Are you having problems accessing your PayPal or other accts?

All the real world info we need about eBay is here:

    Good luck!

Thanx, everybody for the links. I used eBay Live Help, and found out that someone hacked my account to send spam about auctions. I had to set new passwords for my email and eBay accounts. I'm all better now ... I have this guy's email address and am tempted to barrage him with viruses and spam! :realmad:

Have you run a search on eBay to see if the guy is registered under the e-mail address you found for him? It would be good to know his eBay handle.
    Good luck man!

His email address is [email protected]. I tried to put him on my favorites page, and eBay told me this user ID is invalid.

    Strange!

If you go to Ebay, click on Search at the top, click "Find Members" just below that when the menu choice presents itself, then scroll to the bottom of the page. You can enter the e-mail address of someone you are trying to find. However, in the case of the address posted here, I would have to request the user's ID from Ebay, and apparently they would not give it out if I was not involved in a transaction with that member. It could be that this person's account is suspended, since the results I got back had all of the feedbacks altered (the members he bought/sold from were all blanked out).

I tried it with my own address and got my own profile. I tried it with someone's e-mail address that I closed an auction on yesterday, and I got an error message--apparently Ebay will only let you do two such lookups in one day. If anyone else here wants to experiment, report back with the results. :)
