I have boxes of slides, negatives, and prints that I had not looked at in 19 years that I thought I should dig out and look at again. From 1977 to 1982 I shot a lot of concerts on 35mm film. For a number of reasons I was not happy with many of them at the time. A few good ones and a lot of less good ones, and many downright disasters. Add up the cost of film and processing and everything else and it was not something I was going to do forever. I eventually boxed everything up and put it up on a top shelf in back in a closet. And for a year or so I've been thinking about pulling down that stuff and doing some scans, and perhaps a small website to share them with others. So now another year is coming to a close and I have not gotten any website up. So last night a scanned a few of them and decided to post a good batch of them here. I might post a dozen of the ones that are ok to good, and it might be fun to post some of the real losers too. Just so others can enjoy a few of them and also share the disappointment with me when things do not go well at all. I'm still going to do a website for them, but who knows when. So here goes... This shot of Eric Clapton was taken on the tour promoting "Slowhand." That would be 1979. I think I have a better shot than this one somewhere, but this was printed to 8X10 so it was quick and easy to scan. I will post that better shot when it turns up.
