In page 17 of this topic someone mentioned The Stems a great 80's ban from Australia but not this song in particular. I never grow tired of listening to this gem

I'll admit I didn't read all 22 pages, but here are a few great ones I didn't see mentioned:

    Precious To Me (Phil Seymour)
Your Number Or Your Name (The Knack)
    Someday Someway (Marshall Crenshaw)
    Into Your Arms (The Lemonheads)
Girl Of My Dreams (Bram Tchaikowsky)
What I Like About You (The Romantics)

I just listened to a few good ones today, like "On The Highway" and "You Won't Be Happy" by Paul Collins' Beat. I listened to both Orson albums the other day - highly melodic pop/rock that was never even released in the US, despite the band being from here.

Moonage Daydream, Fame, and Suffragette City could all be runners up.

The Stems were excellent! I saw their reunion in 2008 and was quite impressed.

I remember many years ago, Twilley was labeled to be "butt rock." I never understood how that description originated, considering he was quite popular with the females.

I'm with you on my love of power pop. For me a favorite is the first track on Bill Lloyd's appropriately titled album entitled Set To Pop.
The song title is "I Went Electric"

Good of you to mention Bill Lloyd! I enjoyed his group Foster & Lloyd, Bill and Radney of course.
