The full record (Teenage Symphonies to God) is actually really good, as I remember anyway. It has been 20+ years after all.

I think I saw this video on 120 Minutes maybe once or twice. The single got a bit of airplay on college radio (relatively speaking).

The Ocean Blue.... I think they were from Boston maybe... sounded like English groups...
I don't remember ever hearing anything by them again at the time...

Hershey, PA. You're right about the influences, tho'.

Their best work was actually a few records after this one. They're still around, and still great.

Being from deep PA, they were also good friends of the Innocence Mission (themselves back one page in this thread).

I still listen to the Bosstones quite a bit.
I'm a Bostonian though, so maybe I'm in the minority.

    ME TOO!!!

I used to talk to cab drivers but now I just don't bother, I'd empty out my pockets when some would ask me for a quarter.

  20. I'm in a totally different part of the country, so they dont get much exposure out here... I figured they had a pretty good following where ever they are. Great band.

Probably mentioned already, but the great Catherine Wheel (who've enjoyed a resurgence the last decade at least in appreciation)

Here's one--the Dave Grohl-produced Verbena. Can't remember if this was late 90's or early 00's though.

I'm sure the Eels have been mentioned...but how about lead singer Mark Oliver Everett's solo project A Man Called E:
