Name for the new genre of serialized documentaries on video & podcast?

Is there a name for the 6-12 part serialized documentary that is now popular? It’s probably most consumed in binge-watching (on video) and binge-listening (on podcast) sessions.





I don’t know the first ones that became popular but I’m thinking along the lines of:

Serial (podcast)

S-Town (podcast)

Slow Burn (podcast)

The Jinx (HBO)

Making A Murderer (Netflix)



The genre has even been parodied:

American Vandal (Netflix).





It seems now that a successful formula has been hammered out, additional material is going to be produced following that blueprint with potential for diminishing returns and lower quality. But I'm kind of curious if this has been identified as a new genre and if so, what is it called?
