Can't remember much. It's set in a psychiatric ward. Somebody gets themselves committed (maybe?) in order to investigate. At the end he escapes on a rainy night. Walks past the guard who recognizes him but lets him pass.

    Anybody seen this?

    Did I dream it?

I seem to recall this plot Larry but sorry I can't give you a title. Did someone real famous like James Stewart or Carey Grant star in this or are we talking later in movie history?

Peter Breck and Constance Towers star in Shock Corridor.:) But I'm just guessing as to whether that's the movie Larry's thinking (or dreaming) of.

I've watched Shock Corridor a few times. Samuel Fuller was discussed in the Martin Scorcese documentary on TCM. Found Shock at the library.

Larry, there is a ward in the mental hospital where they try to hold the "Nymphos". Don't ever go in that room!

So do you remember if it end with a rainy scene?

What's a Nympho? Is it like a Nauga?

    Is that a hint?

Ed Bishop Incredibly, I'm still here

Ignore the hint, Larry. Fuller remains one of the most underrated directors on earth. I saw that one a long time ago, and trust me, it's worth seeing. Peter Breck was the guy who, a few years later, was one of the stars of THE BIG VALLEY TV series, IIRC.

Any Sam Fuller film is worth investigating. Great eye for composition and what he wanted on the screen with a very limited budget.
